Waitrose Isolation at Christmas Campaign Update

Waitrose Isolation at Christmas Campaign Update

For the fourth year running, Waitrose in Ringwood helped to support elderly, homeless and vulnerable people in our local community.

With more than three quarters of a million Brits over 65 saying they always or often feel lonely, the support is aimed at cutting these numbers at what is the most sociable time of the year for many others.

Waitrose Ringwood managed to help 5 local Charities over the Christmas period, these were: Unite (Ringwood Trinity Centre), King’s Church, Ringwood, Young at Heart Club, Jigsaw Party (Poulner Baptist Chapel) & Ringwood Luncheon Club. They all had the amazing amount of £250 each to spend in store for their party and food items. These Charities covered all aspects of people; Adults, Children and disabled, that were going to be on their own or were disadvantaged in some way over the Christmas period.
